Fierce rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are set to battle it out to sign Fenerbache striker Emmanuel Emenike.
The Nigerian forward has scored 13 goals in 32 league appearances since joining the Turkish side in 2013 and has a reputation as a powerful targetman. Both Arsene Wenger and Mauricio Pochettino are desperate to add to their forward lines in January and feel Emenike’s powerful presence could make him a perfect fit for the Premier League.
According to Talksport, the North London Rivals are set to go head-to-head when the transfer window opens, and are willing to spend big to bring the striker to England.
The 27-year-old was part of the Nigeria squad at the World Cup this summer and has attracted the attention of some of the biggest clubs around Europe.
Wenger is still looking for another forward after losing France international Olivier Giroud until early next year with a broken ankle.
If Arsene Wenger wants to battle it out with Pochettino for Emenike, Arsenal fans will be hoping that he brings the same attitude he had during his punch up with Jose Mourinho in the battle to sign the Nigerian.
